Aston Villa will be hoping to build on their long-awaited victory last time out as they face lowly Leicester City in the first of two consecutive Midlands derbies.
The return of Christian Benteke proved to be most welcome on Tuesday as Villa finally ended a winless run which had lasted since mid-September by taking all three points at Crystal Palace, and a clean sheet also proved that they are coping well with the absence of key defenders.
The last two performances have both been strong, but it remains to be seen how they can take the game to the opposition at home, where they simply have not won enough games. That said, they are normally strong against the sides around them in the table.
It has been another disappointing week for Leicester, with manager Nigel Pearson having been involved in an altercation with a supporter during the defeat to Liverpool. The players battled hard throughout that game, but saw their vulnerabilities exposed on the counter-attack, while their inability to hold on to the lead for long also cost the Foxes dearly, and they are very much in need of a positive result here.
Nathan Baker, Philippe Senderos and captain Ron Vlaar are still injured for Villa and miss out along with Joe Cole and Andreas Weimann, who has picked up five yellow cards.
Leicester will bring in Liam Moore for the suspended Wes Morgan, and while David Nugent could miss out through illness, midfielder Dean Hammond is likely to return from a calf problem.
