Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho feels Diego Costa is being unfairly treated

After Chelsea’s Diego Costa picked up his seventh yellow card of the season for an alleged dive against Hull City, manager Jose Mourinho feels the Spanish striker is being harshly treated by referees, reports ITV Football.

The former Atletico Madrid striker came to the Premier League with a reputation for making a host of fouls in games, while picking up bookings and red cards for dissent and off the ball altercations. Costa has already been picking up bookings for diving and minor scrapping with the opposition, but Mourinho feels referees are being too harsh on him.

“Everything he does is a yellow card. Seven yellow cards. It looks like everybody comes ready for him, which I don’t understand. I don’t know why because I think when he was at Atletico he created a certain image, and people don’t believe he can change, but he changed,” said the Chelsea boss.
