Having failed to cement any real first team opportunities AC Milan and Schalke are preparing to offer Manchester City’s Matija Nastasic an early exit, according to the Daily
The 21-year-old centre half cost the Champions £12m back in 2012 and in his debut season made 21 appearances for the club.
However injury and form has meant he has had to settle for a spot further down the pecking order.
The summer arrival of £32m man Eliaquim Mangala means the Serbian defender could find himself as low down as fifth choice for centre back behind Vincent Kompany, Mangala, Martin Demichelis, and Dedryck Boyata.
He has played just on competitive match this season – the 3-0 Community Shield defeat at the hands of Arsenal.
£10m is being readied by both Milan and Schalke and the youngster may well be heading for an early exit.
It is unknown how fans will react to any departure with such a young promising player being allowed to leave – especially for less than they originally paid.
New recruit Mangala has made a far from convincing start to his City career and many fans have questioned why such a large fee was spent, and why Nastasic is not given an opportunity.
