Everton 1-1 Hull City: Second-half Aluko goal rescues a point for Hull

Hull City striker Sone Aluko scored on the hour mark to earn his side a draw to keep them out of the relegation zone, reports BBC Sport.

Everton took the lead after the half hour mark through the in-form striker Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian striker linked up with his international teammate Kevin Mirallas and fired home from close range.

The Toffees had the lion’s share of possession in the first-half, and the better of the chances, but couldn’t double their lead going into the break.

It proved costly, with Hull City finding an equaliser in the second-half. Sone Aluko netted the equaliser after coming off the bench, to ensure the North-East side took a share of the spoils. A brilliant solo effort from the forward was the difference.
