Riyad Mahrez scored the only goal of the game, as Leicester City finally saw their 13-game winless run come to an end, reports BBC
Leicester took the lead in the 32nd minute through the tricky winger Mahrez. The Algerian hit a strike from the edge of the area to give the Foxes a much-needed goal to hold on to.
With Nigel Pearson’s side rock bottom of the table ahead of the game, Leicester could ill-afford to through their lead away.
Ahmed Elmohamady came close to equalising for Hull, but failed to put Stephen Quinn’s cross into the back of the net.
After the break, partial floodlight failure threatened to stop the game, but both managers agreed to play on. It turned out to be the right move by Pearson as his Leicester side rode their luck late on to secure a much-needed win.
