Inter, Napoli and Roma are all set to hold talks with the representatives of Tottenham central defender Vlad Chiriches, who they hope to sign on loan in January, according to the London
The Romanian has recently spoken of his disappointment at a lack of first-team football, with Younes Kaboul, Federico Fazio and Jan Vertonghen all ahead of him in the pecking order, although he did feature in an unfamiliar role at right-back during Sunday’s 2-1 win over Everton.
Tottenham are willing to let him go out on loan in January with a view to a permanent move, as he is not thought to be part of manager Mauricio Pochettino’s long-term plans, and both Inter and Napoli are looking to improve their defensive options.
Chiriches was brought to White Hart Lane by Andre Villas-Boas in the summer of 2013 from Steaua Bucharest, but has never fully established himself as a regular in the side. Having featured under three managers or Head Coaches, he has made 31 appearances in all competitions, with his only goal coming in a win at Fulham in December 2013.
