Chelsea have agreed terms with Rijeka striker Andrej Kramaric over a deal to sign the highly-rated Croatian during the January transfer window, the Metro
Jose Mourinho appears to have won the race for the much sought after 23-year-old, who had been linked with a move to Premier League rivals Leicester City – who failed with a bid to sign Kramaric earlier in December – and Tottenham.
A contract has reportedly been agreed, meaning that the two clubs must now only decide on an acceptable fee. And that does not appear far away, with Chelsea having launched a £7.5m offer on Sunday.
Kramaric has caught the eye this season after scoring an impressive 21 goals in 18 league games for Rijeka, form which has allowed him to become a regular member of the Croatia national team squad, gaining four caps and netting twice.
Italian champions Juventus have also been in the running to sign Kramaric, but have not met Rijeka’s valuation. Should everything go to plan, the player is likely to travel to London later in the week to undergo a medical.
