Liverpool’s Kolo Toure confident his side can catch up on the Champions League chasers

Despite being held to a goalless draw against Sunderland at Anfield, Liverpool defender Kolo Toure is adamant the Reds can climb up the table to challenge for a top-four spot, reports Sky Sports.

Liverpool are currently 9th in the Premier League table after 15 games, and they have suffered six defeats too. Manager Brendan Rodgers has found himself under pressure with some disgruntled supporters requesting his sacking, but results have recently picked up, and defender Kolo Toure believes there’s more to come.

“This league is tough and every team. Last season we did much better. We have had a difficult start but we are catching up slowly and surely. There is more work to do. We are catching up and the team feels more secure and we need to keep going in that direction,” said the Ivorian.
