With Manchester City’s European future on the line ahead of their clash against AS Roma, defender Pablo Zabaleta believes the team should be relishing such occasions, reports Sky
Manchester City are level on points (5) with second-placed AS Roma and third-placed CSKA Moscow ahead of the last game. City need all three points against the Serie A giants, while hoping Bayern Munich don’t lose to CSKA Moscow. It’s one of the biggest games in their European history, and Zabaleta wants the team to enjoy the pressure.
“Rome is always a great atmosphere. To go through would be massive. It is a crucial game for us to show that we want to continue in this competition and go far. You play against the best teams in Europe in this competition, but as a player you have to enjoy these games. They’re huge. We have the quality and confidence is high – that’s what we need,” said the Argentine.
