According to the Express,
Robben, 30, is a regular in the Bayern side and has been in fine form for the Bundesliga leaders this season. He shone in this summer’s World Cup for the Netherlands national team, formerly managed by Louis Van Gaal, which is why the United boss is keen to renew acquaintances.
Despite turning 31 soon, Van Gaal would be happy to pay £24M for his services, but Bayern are keen to keep him at the club as they have little in the way of a viable replacement for the former Chelsea and Real Madrid man. Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus is being speculated about for a host of sides, and if he pushed for a Bayern move, Robben could well be available in the near future.
