Manchester United’s Juan Mata doesn’t want side to continue relying on David De Gea heroics

After David De Gea was named man of the match in Manchester United’s 3-0 win against Liverpool, playmaker Juan Mata doesn’t want to have to keep relying on the Spanish shot-stopper, reports ITV Football.

“We won, among other things, thanks to the ‘Man of the Match’ David de Gea, who has had yet another great performance. We have to keep working so we don’t need so many saves from him in the next few games; we have to get better in that regard.”

Manchester United were ruthless in attack against Liverpool on the weekend, but their defence was breached on a number of occasions. Raheem Sterling and Mario Balotelli should arguably have scored against the Red Devils, but were thwarted by David De Gea in fine form.
