Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal has revealed striker Wayne Rooney will have a scan on his knee, with the club captain having picked up an injury against Hull City on the weekend, reports Sky
“We have to wait to say anything about him because you never know with a knee. My opinion is it’s not so serious but I’m not a doctor. We have to wait for the scan on Wednesday, then we’ll know more. I hope it’s not so serious,” he said.
The Manchester United and England captain has been in fine form for club and country this season, and has been a key player in United’s climb up the table. He sat out last night’s win against Stoke City, and is a doubt for their weekend clash against Southampton.
