Tottenham fined by UEFA following Europa League pitch invasions

According to BBC Sport, Tottenham have been fined £11,870 by UEFA following three pitch invasions during their Europa League win against Partizan Belgrade at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham issued an apology for the incident, and the men in question were arrested. Spurs went on to win the clash, but the delays irked both sets of players. The stunt in question was deemed to be an endurance test to see how long they could remain on the pitch before being thrown out, with the men seen laughing and taking pictures with the players via their mobile phones.

The invasions caused a long delay in the game, with the game suspended for more than 10 minutes. It had initially appeared that the people in question were Tottenham supporters due to them wearing white shirts, but said personnel were in fact connected to an electronics brand, and were creating an internet stunt to gain notoriety.
