After Tottenham played out a goalless draw at home to Manchester United, goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was full of praise for the side for a “spirited” performance, reports ITV
“They (United) had a great first half but we stayed in the game because we were strong defensively and kept fighting. We have to congratulate the team because the spirit was great,” he said.
Tottenham rode their luck somewhat in the first-half, but created a lot of chances of their own during their draw against the Red Devils. Ryan Mason missed a close range opportunity for the Londoners that he should have scored, and that could have sealed an unlikely win at the time. But the players aren’t getting ahead of themselves.
And when asked about Tottenham’s chances of finishing in the top-four, Lloris added: “If we keep going in this way, keep this same spirit, we have the quality to get something.”
