Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen believes rise in fitness levels has led to late victories

After Tottenham secured yet another late win in the Premier League, match-winner Christian Eriksen believes the Londoners’ fitness levels are the reason, reports Sky Sports.

Tottenham recently scored late to earn all three points against Swansea City, and it’s been a common occurrence in recent weeks for Mauricio Pochettino. Christian Eriksen has netted a host of late goals, and he believes the higher fitness levels are to thank for such late winners.

“You see the last few games and we’re still 100 per cent ready to go at the end of the game. Before, we wouldn’t have been fit enough to go the whole game. We had the confidence and the power to keep going for 90 minutes. I think everybody would rather win a little bit earlier but it does give us an extra feeling,” said the Dane.
