West Ham could welcome back Sakho and Song for Swansea clash

According to Sky Sports, West Ham striker Diafra Sakho and midfielder Alex Song could both return to face Swansea City this weekend.

It could be a big boost for manager Sam Allardyce, as his side continue their pursuit for a high finish in the Premier League table. Former FC Metz striker Sakho was on fire prior to his injury, scoring six goals in eight games for the Hammers. Alex Song has shone in the midfield since joining on loan from Barcelona in the summer, so having the two players back in the side will make a big difference.

Swansea will be a tough side to face, as they too are currently overachieving this season and will consider this weekend’s meeting as a must-win.

“Sakho and Song have been training all this week so the opportunity for them to join the squad this weekend is good. Let’s hope that they continue to stay fit in this period. A consistent level of performance is what’s going to make us a really good side,” said manager Sam Allardyce.
