After Arsenal earned a surprise 2-0 win against Manchester City at the Etihad stadium, manager Arsene Wenger praised the discipline shown by his men, reports Sky
Arsenal scored either side of half-time against Manchester City, but for the majority of the game they allowed their opponents to have large spells of possession, with emphasis on defending deep to frustrate the Sky Blues’ creative players. Wenger lauded his layers after keeping a clean sheet and nullifying the defending champions successfully.
“We kept a good control of the game. We had the consistent discipline for 90 minutes that’s needed in big games, we looked in control away from home and we finally got a big win in a big game away from home,” he said.
