Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy suffered a dislocated shoulder in the Gunners’ 3-0 win against Stoke City that will keep him out of action for a short time, reports BBC
The French international had not long been back for Arsenal after suffering a lengthy ankle injury earlier into the season. He was brought off early in the game against Stoke City after falling into an advertising hoarding and was replaced by Hector Bellerin.
Debuchy’s absence to come will be another blow for Arsenal, meaning Calum Chambers and Hector Bellerin will have to replace him. The Gunners could well shop in the January transfer window as a result.
“It’s dislocated so it will take a while. He will have to see a specialist. If Debuchy is not here, he cannot play centre-back. This is a position where we are short,” said Wenger.
