Aston Villa’s chief executive Tom Fox has given his support to manager Paul Lambert, suggesting that sacking the Scot is “a false narrative”, reports BBC
The Midlands club started the season well, but have since fallen down the league. The lack of goals being scored by Villa has seen supporters start to turn on manager Paul Lambert, who they believe is dragging the club down, but club chief executive Tom Fox says the side have no intention on making such a radical change to the boss.
“When things aren’t going well, fans bay for that type of blood. That’s not the way that I or the owner are going to make a decision. It’s a false narrative. We support Paul to make us as successful as possible, and I think we’re heading in the right direction,” he said.
