Aston Villa look set to complete a deal to sign creative attacking-midfielder Carlos Gil for £3.2M reports BBC
The 22-year-old could make his debut for the Villans on the weekend against Liverpool, and is highly rated in his native Spain. He’s featured for the under 21 side in the past, and has scored one goal in eight league games this campaign.
Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert said he is looking to bring in more creative talent due to the side’s deficiency in front of goal this season, and Gil could well be the answer to their scoring problems.
“Gil arrives with the reputation of a player who can go past opposition players swiftly in the area where Villa are blatantly deficient – the final third of the field,” said BBC Sport’s Pat Murphy.
