West Ham striker Diafra Sakho scored the winning goal in the last few minutes of normal time to seal victory for the Londoners against an impressive Bristol City side, reports BBC
The hosts were on top for the majority of the game, but couldn’t make the most of their chances in front of goal. They had numerous opportunities in the opening 45 minutes to go ahead, but were wasteful when they needed a cool head.
West Ham made the Robins pay, with Andy Carroll setting up Sakho for the deciding goal. The England international did good work on the right-hand side, before crossing the ball deep at the far post for Sakho to head home unmarked into an empty net. Sam Allardyce’s side were fortunate, but are in the hat for the fifth round draw.
