Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho surprised by Swansea thrashing

With Chelsea hitting Swansea City for a five this afternoon, at a ground not many sides have picked up a result this season, manager Jose Mourinho admitted his surprise in his team’s comfortable victory, reports Sky Sports.

The Blues went ahead inside of the first minute of the game through midfielder Oscar, and were 4-0 up at the break. Swansea are normally strong at home, and have beaten Arsenal and Manchester United this season too, but were miles from their best against the Premier League leaders.

“5-0 is unexpected for us but everything went in our direction. We were solid, and recovering the ball in good positions. We were dangerous in counter-attacks, and the decisions made in front of the ball were always the best decisions. We hit the post twice, we could have finished with even more. I am happy with the points and the quality of our football,” said Mourinho.
