Chelsea winning battle for ‘next Paul Pogba’ Souici

Jose Mourinho and Chelsea are said to be winning the battle to sign Rayan Souici, who is dubbed as the next ‘Paul Pogba’, ahead of Arsenal and Liverpool the Daily Express has claimed.

According to reports in France the Blues have struck a deal with current side St Etienne with the transfer expected to go through by the end of the week should all run smoothly.

The 16-year-old is a much sought after target and London rivals Arsenal were originally said to be in pole position to bag his signature.

However Chelsea have now leapt ahead of them and Mourinho will offer a three and a half year deal to the France U16 star – with the presence of former Etienne team mate Kurt Zouma said to be a big driving force behind a deal – while it is hoped he will help the teenager settle into life in West London.

There is also reported interest from the big guns of Ligue 1 but the youngster prefers a move to the Premier League to continue his development.
