According to Sky
The 33-year-old is being targeted by Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew, who was formerly of Newcastle during Ameobi’s spell in Tyneside. The Eagles have been desperate for attacking reinforcements, and Ameobi would provide a target man-like threat going forward, meaning he could bring others into play.
He’s not the most prolific of forwards, so the key would be to ensure he has good support from the likes of Yannick Bolasie, Jason Puncheon and Wilfried Zaha, and few know the Nigerian better than Pardew. Ameobi scored 79 goals during his long spell with the Magpies, and has held talks this month with Palace over a potential short-term deal.
