Hull City 2-0 Everton: Jelavic haunts former club as Tigers confine Everton to fourth consecutive league defeat

Hull City striker Nikica Jelavic scored against his former side, with the previously under-fire Tigers seeing past strugglers Everton this afternoon, reports BBC Sport.

Everton have been struggling to find any sort of form of late, and matters were made worse against Hull City after half an hour, with Ahmed Elmohamady opening the scoring for the hosts. He headed home in the 33rd minute, before Nikica Jelavic put the icing on the cake for City.

Formerly of Everton, the industrious forward chipped over the Toffees goalkeeper minutes before half-time, with manager Roberto Martinez now under immense pressure in his position. The Merseyside club have now lost four in a row in the Premier League, while Hull have climbed out of danger, and are now two points clear of the drop zone.
