Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson believes FA Cup win can be catalyst for Premier League turnaround

After Leicester City beat Tottenham 2-1 at White Hart Lane in the FA Cup fourth round, manager Nigel Pearson feels his side have proven they can survive in the Premier League, reports Sky Sports.

A late goal from Jeffrey Schlupp sealed victory for Leicester City against Tottenham, but their domestic form hasn’t been so impressive, with the Foxes currently rock bottom in the Premier League after 22 games.

“We have found life in the Premier League hard. But we have shown we are capable. There is no point going overboard because we have won a cup game, but our performance has been very encouraging,” he said.

Leicester have struggled since their promotion from the Championship, winning just two games from 17. But their FA Cup run could well inject confidence ahead of a difficult run of games to come.
