After securing the signing of prolific striker Andrej Kramaric, Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson hopes his side can supply the bullets for him to fire, reports Sky
The 23-year-old, who rejected Chelsea to sign from HNK Rijeka this month, joined Leicester off the back of 37 goals scored in 42 games, and made his debut for the Foxes against Stoke City. The new arrival struggled in his 20 minutes on the pitch, but Pearson is hoping the side will rally around him to get him to fire.
“He’s a goalscorer and his record bears that out, but we didn’t really create too much in the last 20 minutes (against Stoke). It’s always difficult to judge a player going into a losing situation when we’re not being creative. It’s never easy to quantify what he’s capable of. But I’m pleased he’s had some pitch time and experienced playing in front of our own crowd. That was important,” said the City boss.
