Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes Chelsea’s cup exit shock will motivate them against the Reds tonight

After Chelsea lost in the FA Cup to Bradford City, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes they will be an even bigger threat in the Capital One Cup this evening, reports BBC Sport.

Chelsea threw away a two-goal lead at Stamford Bridge to Bradford City, but ended up losing 4-2, and subsequently being eliminated. They host Liverpool in the second leg of the Capital One Cup semi-final, and Rodgers feels their FA Cup exit will spur them on to deliver tonight.

“We were outstanding in the (first leg). We know it is going to be a tough game, but we are certainly going into the game with no fear and our strength is very much in our attack. The result at the weekend doesn’t help – they will have great motivation. When you come off a game like that, you want to put it right,” he said.
