Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has said he will give out-of-form striker Mario Balotelli the chance to prove his worth with the club, reports Sky
Rumours suggested the Italian international would be out of the door this month, with Balotelli having greatly underperformed, and Italian clubs being linked with his services, but Rodgers was keen to highlight that the former Inter Milan, AC Milan and Manchester City striker would be given a chance to work his way back into form and into the first-team.
We’ll give Mario every chance. We brought him here this season to give him every chance to show he can play consistently at the top in a team at this level. It has been a difficult period for him, but he’s a good boy who wants to fight for his opportunity here. The opportunity’s there for Mario and for every player,” said the Liverpool boss.
