Liverpool are said to be back in the hunt for Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri this month, according to Sky
The Reds were interested in a deal over the summer and it was thought the winger was at one stage close to joining the Anfield club, only for the transfer to never materialise.
But this has not swayed Liverpool’s interest and they are said to be lining up a deal to bring the 23-year-old in over the summer.
That would mean the frustrated Shaqiri could first move on loan to Inter Milan for the rest of this season in search of real playing time – the Swiss international has only made three league starts this season and 26 in the two years he has been at the Allianz Arena.
Liverpool are reportedly happy with the player to go out to the Serie A side perhaps fearing an influx of yet more new players could disrupt an already poor season further.
The Reds brought in nine new players – although Divock Origi was immediately loaned out – with the sale of £75m star man Luis Suarez funding many of the moves.
This coupled with the loss other star striker Daniel Sturridge means the Reds have struggled this season so far, having been knocked out the Champions League and League Cup whilst sitting in eighth place – 17 points of leaders Manchester City and Chelsea.
