Two sides in superb form meet at Anfield on Saturday as seven-time winners Liverpool take on Bolton Wanderers for a place in the FA Cup fifth round.
The Reds are in the midst of their best run of the season and produced a quality performance against Chelsea in their Capital One Cup semi-final first leg in midweek which was worthy of victory, but they displayed high intensity levels and always looked dangerous in the final third.
Manager Brendan Rodgers may rest a few players here with the second leg coming up on Tuesday, but this match will still be of high importance, with the Northern Irishman determined to end his wait for a first trophy as Liverpool boss. He will not take this lightly either, with the club having experienced difficulties against lower league opposition already this season.
Fellow countryman Neil Lennon has overseen a superb revival since taking over at Bolton in mid-October, leading them to a respectable 15th place in the Championship after being given the job with the club adrift at the bottom of the table and with just one league win to their name.
An unbeaten home record under the former Celtic boss has been the key to their success, while in recent weeks they have been helped by the additions of veteran strikers Eidur Gudjonsson and Emile Heskey, with the latter having helped Liverpool to winning this competition in 2001 as well as a number of others in a four-year stay at Anfield.
Liverpool trio Joe Allen, Mario Balotelli and Glen Johnson could all play a part after returning to training, but captain Steven Gerrard will be rested.
The visitors have several attacking players missing, with Lee Chung-Yong, Mark Davies, Craig Davies and Max Clayton all out along with left-back Marc Tierney.
