Liverpool’s Mario Balotelli says he’s happy at Anfield amid rumours of a rift with manager Brendan Rodgers

Despite being criticised by his manager for not performing on the pitch or in training to warrant a start for Liverpool, striker Mario Balotelli is reportedly happy at the Merseyside club, reports Sky Sports.

The Italian international’s agent, Mino Raiola, says his client is happy with the club and manager, and wants to return better than ever, after being left out of the squad to face Bolton in the FA Cup fourth round recently.

“Yes, he is happy at Liverpool. Nobody is happy to be left out but he reacted in a professional way. Liverpool need to know he is not Suarez. Mario needs to adapt and Liverpool need to adapt. He will win this struggle and become better. It is then up to Brendan Rodgers to give him a chance. It is a good relationship. Mario likes him,” he said.
