After losing at home to Arsenal, Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany cannot wait to travel to face Chelsea next weekend to get their title hopes back on track, reports Sky
Chelsea extended their lead over the Sky Blues to five points, after Arsenal won 2-0 at the Etihad stadium on the weekend, but Manchester City have a big opportunity to reduce the deficit in the title race by beaten the Premier League leaders at Stamford Bridge.
Last season, Jose Mourinho’s side beaten Manuel Pellegrini’s men home and away in the league, but Kompany is desperate to put the record straight and to rove they can still challenge for back-to-back league crowns.
“We will definitely be more fired up. We have always been great in games like this so I’m actually looking forward to it. We are always liable to kick off a massive run and that’s the kind of club that we are. Maybe this run has stopped, but the next one should be coming soon hopefully,” he said.
