Manchester United delivered blow in pursuit for Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale

Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale has ruled out a move to Manchester United this month, insisting he’s more than happy with the La Liga leaders, reports Sky Sports.

The Welsh international, 25, has been linked with a move back to the Premier League, as reports from Spain suggested he had fallen out with Cristiano Ronaldo. Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal was coy when asked about his interest in the winger, with a £120M deal said to be in the offing this month.

But Bale has denied the rumours and insists he’s more than happy at Real, saying: “I can’t imagine myself at Manchester United. I’m really happy here (at Real). I’ve got several years left on my contract, I’m enjoying myself, we’re winning trophies and I want to keep doing that here at Real.”
