Manchester United suffer double injury in FA Cup win over Yeovil

Manchester United’s injury crisis shows no signs of slowing, with defenders Luke Shaw and Ashley Young having picked up injuries in their FA Cup win against Yeovil this weekend, reports BBC Sport.

Manchester United haven’t won the FA Cup for more than 10 years, but are in the fourth draw after dispatching of Yeovil Town at Huish Park. Goals from Ander Herrera and Angel Di Maria were the difference. But it came at a cost, with two players picking up injuries.

“It was a very physical game. Rafael has an injury and a fracture of his bone so it was fantastic he had the guts to play through. I had to change him and also Luke Shaw because he had an ankle problem. He played on also. Rafael has already gone away in a car to the hospital. I don’t know how he did it. I will have to watch the video. Also, the same with Shaw,” said United manager Louis Van Gaal.
