Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes made his first appearance since signing for the Red Devils, with the United reserve team beating Liverpool 2/1, reports Sky
The Spanish international started the match, and saw his first game end with a win against their fierce rivals. He signed on a free transfer earlier this season, after having been training with United for a few weeks, and will be hoping to force his way into contention if he can prove his worth in training.
Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal previously admitted that he knows Valdes will want game time, and current first-choice David De Gea is being linked with La Liga giants Real Madrid, as their own long-serving ‘keeper Iker Casillas could be moving to the MLS.
