Real Madrid have alerted a host of Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool by allegedly failing to rule out a sale of striker Karim Benzema, according to the Daily
For a number of seasons Benzema has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu but the Spanish giants have not cashed in on their main front man to date.
However fresh reports surfacing from Spain have claimed that Madrid would be willing to do a deal for the French international while he is at the peak of his career and represents maximum value in terms of his price tag.
This refusal to rule out selling the striker has alerted a host of clubs – Paris Saint Germain have strong interest in the 27-year-old – with United, Arsenal and Liverpool amongst those thought to be in the race for his signature.
Indeed Liverpool seem to be in the most need for added fire power – with Rickie Lambert, Fabio Borini and Mario Balotelli all failing to fill the massive hole left by the departed Luis Suarez and injured Daniel Sturridge.
The Reds were linked with a £63m double swoop for Benzema and Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette and Madrid’s stance will have done nothing but fuel these rumours further.
Benzema has been impressive since joining the Champions League holders way back in 2009, scoring 126 goals in 265 appearances in all competitions, with 81 of those coming in 176 league appearances.
