Real Madrid are said to be back in the hunt for the signature of Liverpool youngster Raheem Sterling, according to the Daily
Last summer it was reported that the Champions League winners were seriously considering making a move for the 20-year-old winger following his super end to the season and performances at the World cup.
However a bid never materialised and Sterling remained a Liverpool player.
Following a slump in form that culminated in the youngster claiming he was tired, manager Brendan Rodgers sent the player on a short Christmas break.
He has returned to the Liverpool side in electric form and is even playing as the number nine for his side in the absence of Daniel Sturridge.
This has prompted decision makers at Real to give the green light to a move for the England international and a stunning £50m bid is being prepared should they follow up their interest.
However it remains to be seen whether or not the player will leave Anfield after months of contract talks with Liverpool look to be coming to a fruitful end.
Manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed that talks have progressed and the 20-year-old is close to agreeing a lucrative new deal.
