Roma are to make one final bid to sign Tottenham defender Vlad Chiriches after seeing their previous attempts in the January transfer window come to nothing, according to the London
The Italian side have been keen on adding Chiriches to their ranks since last summer, and have revived their interest in January due having several injuries in defensive areas.
Although they would prefer a loan deal with the option of making it permanent in the summer, Tottenham are likely to demand something close to the £7m they spent to sign the 25-year-old from Steaua Bucharest in the summer of 2013. A potential swap deal involving striker Mattia Destro has also been touted, but seems unlikely.
Since then, Chiriches has never established himself in the Tottenham first-team, with most of his intermittent appearances this season coming at right-back, where he deputised for the injured Kyle Walker. He is believed to be keen on a move to Rome, while Spurs would be happy to let him go for the fight price with manager Mauricio Pochettino looking to trim his squad.
