The future of Everton’s Samuel Eto’o is in doubt, with the Cameroon international attracting interest from a host of clubs this month, reports BBC
The 33-year-old only joined the club in the summer, initially on a two-year deal, but was left out of Everton’s FA Cup clash against West Ham, and manager Roberto Martinez failed to rule out the possibility of him leaving either.
“A couple of clubs contacted us in the last 12 hours so I decided to leave him out. We will see what is best for him and us over the next few days,” said Martinez.
Eto’o’s exit would certainly be a surprise considering Everton don’t have many other viable options in attack that provide the threat he still does, but clearly Martinez would allow him a transfer if they get any satisfactory bids.
