Southampton manager Ronald Koeman hoping to turn loanees into permanent deals

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman recently revealed he is looking to secure the future of the club’s two loanees Ryan Bertrand and Toby Alderweireld, reports Sky Sports.

Chelsea left-back Ryan Bertrand joined Southampton on loan for the season, and has performed admirably in the defence. Central defender Toby Alderweireld arrived from Atletico Madrid, and admitted he would consider a permanent deal with the club if offered. It appears manager Ronald Koeman is very keen to secure their future with Southampton.

“We would like to know fast what the player likes, if there is any possibility to buy that player, and that’s in the case of Ryan and Toby. If it is yes and we can do the deal, then fantastic. If not, okay, then we need other players or we have to think about. I think we have good possibilities to sign them players,” he said.
