Southampton manager Ronald Koeman says his side analysed Manchester United’s defensive flaws

After Southampton earned their first ever Premier League win against Manchester United at Old Trafford, manager Ronald Koeman said they took advantage of the Red Devils’ defensive flaws, reports BBC Sport.

“You analyse your opponents. You know they have difficulties building up with three centre-backs. We have had good organisation all season. We now have 11 clean sheets in 21 games and that is key to being successful,” said Koeman.

Southampton impressively kept Manchester United from registering a shot on target in the entire game, and they managed to find the necessary breakthrough to earn a narrow victory. The win saw them go third in the Premier League table, and now sees the Saints being backed to challenge for a Champions League place for the duration.
