Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne admitted he wasn’t sure whether he will sign a new deal with the club, amid rumours he could leave in the summer, reports Sky
The England international, 23, was offered a new deal only a month or so ago, but has been in talks with the club ever since, and the two parties are yet to come to any agreement. Clyne’s current contract expires at the end of next season, which is why the Saints are keen to resolve his future now.
He’s been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal as a result of his impressive showings for the high-flying Saints, and recently admitted he won’t be confirming anything until April.
“We will wait until April. I’m still negotiating my contract with my agent and the club,” he said.
