Manchester United held on for a point away to Stoke City, with Louis Van Gaal side perhaps somewhat fortunate to come away with a point at the Britannia Stadium, reports BBC
Stoke took the lead after two minutes through defender Ryan Shawcross. The England international headed home after Peter Crouch steered a corner in his direction to put the home side ahead early on.
But just over 20 minutes later, United levelled the game. Striker Radamel Falcao converted from a corner to ensure both sides were even at half-time.
Like their previous game against Tottenham, Manchester United fell apart in the second-half. Stoke had a fair penalty shout when Smalling handled in the area, while hitting the woodwork too. They will be disappointed to have taken just a point, while United will be the happier side.
