Queens Park Rangers will be desperate that their miserable run of away defeats will come to an end at Stoke City, who can move up into ninth place with a win.
After what was without doubt their worst display of the season at Arsenal on January 11, Stoke have responded well, with a commanding victory at Leicester City coming before they racked up four in a potentially tricky FA Cup tie away to Rochdale.
But it turned out to be a bittersweet evening at Spotland, as Bojan Krkic suffered an injury which will keep him out until the end of the season. It is a huge blow for Mark Hughes, but he still has a very capable group of players including Peter Crouch, who has just signed a new deal.
Having struggled at the back for much of this season, QPR will be wary of their former striker, who was a handful when the two sides met in the return fixture in September. They come into this in poor form, with no wins since they defeated West Bromwich Albion before Christmas.
As a result, they now find themselves back among the bottom three, meaning that points on the road are now essential with plenty more tough games against top sides to come at Loftus Road. And all does not seem well, with clashes between players and supporters along with doubts over the future of manager Harry Redknapp.
Stoke are hoping to have left-back Erik Pieters back after injury, but are still unable to call upon Peter Odemwingie.
The visitors are likely to be without Armand Traore and Yun Suk-Young, but are hopeful over a return for Sandro.
