Chelsea hit Swansea City for five, with Jose Mourinho’s side making a real statement of intent in their pursuit of this season’s Premier League title, reports BBC
The Londoners took the lead inside of a minute, with Oscar netting on the edge of the box to give Chelsea the perfect start. Diego Costa doubled their lead in the 20th minute to almost end the contest then and there.
Swansea appeared to have thrown the towel in, with Diego Costa and Oscar both grabbing braces in the opening 45 minutes, to see Chelsea going into the break 4-0 up.
In the second-half, the game somewhat slowed down, with Swansea favourite damage limitation, while Chelsea seemed happy to see the game out. The away side did add a fifth goal, however, with Andre Schurrle getting in on the act with just over 10 minutes of normal time remaining.
