Swansea City manager Garry Monk has admitted he wants to sign midfielder Tom Carroll on a permanent deal in the summer, reports Sky
The 22-year-old joined Swansea City on loan for the season, and has so far made 15 appearances in all competitions. A Tottenham academy product, Carroll hasn’t given any indication on his own thoughts about his future, but has stiff competition in the Spurs midfield, which Monk is hoping can help push a permanent deal along.
“It’s not something we have discussed yet – but we are not averse to it. We have spoken about Tom’s progress here and he has done well for us. He is young, has great potential, but we will likely talk more towards the end of the season to see if there are any options towards a longer deal,” he said.
