Swansea in bid for Saint Etienne midfielder Franck Tabanou

According to BBC Sport, Swansea City are in talks with French Ligue One club Saint Etienne to sign midfielder Franck Tabanou.

“The two clubs are in discussions, but I cannot confirm a bid has been made,” said the 25-year-old’s agent Philippe Lamboley.

Swansea recently sold Wilfried Bony to Manchester City for around £28M, so the Welsh club are now looking to bolster their side in any positions they were deficient in previously.

Manager Garry Monk has enjoyed a decent campaign so far in his first full term, but City’s season threatens to unravel following a recent slum in form.

Frank Tabanou, a former French U21 international, can play on the wing as well as being a central midfielder, and is reportedly up for grabs for around £3M this month.
