With Manchester City set to sign Swansea striker Wilfried Bony for around £28M this month, Swansea manager Gary Monk believes Bafetimbi will more than fill his place, reports BBC
Bony is set for a mammoth move to the Premier League defending champions, which leaves Swansea City somewhat low on attacking options. But Bafetimbi Gomis has showed promise since his move in the summer, and will now be given a platform to prove his worth, after having been below Bony in the previous pecking order.
“I’ve got 100% faith in Bafe and I think you saw from his performance, he was pushing the team and trying to get his goals. Gomis offered more mobility and more movement than Bony. The players around him are trying to find his runs and supply from there. He’s a top striker,” said Garry Monk.
