Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino won’t drop Vorm for FA Cup blunder

Ahead of Tottenham’s Capital One Cup clash against Sheffield United, manager Mauricio Pochettino has said Michel Vorm will keep his place in goal, despite the FA Cup mistake that saw Spurs eliminated by Leicester City, reports ITV Football.

Vorm started between the sticks against the foxes in the FA Cup clash, but made a costly error that cost the Londoners dearly. They were eliminated from the competition as a result of their crumble, but Pochettino won’t drop him as result, and has backed the former Swansea man against Sheffield United tonight.

“This is football. He made a mistake. Every player can make a mistake, we have full confidence in him and must give him support. He made two big saves against Leicester. His attitude is fantastic and nothing has changed, in one action he conceded a goal. I think it should be normal to play Michel. All games are important, and (overall he) had a good performance (against Leicester),” said the Spurs boss.
